UI & Visual Design

I'm a skilled visual designer with an eye for graphics, typography, layout, and color. I love building functional software, web, and mobile products, as well as, unique ideas and infusing modern aesthetics.

User Research

I believe that user research is the most important step of the design process. I love speaking to users and understanding their processes & problems first, before even considering design.

Entre+intra-preneur

I'm an entrepreneur which allows me to also function well as an intrapreneur, and understand the balance between advocating for users while meeting business objectives and how they all affect the bottom line. Process is key, and I believe in infusing agile processes and methodologies into my design process.

Prototyping

I'm skilled in prototyping products with users and stakeholders across the entire design lifecycle. I love using Figma, Photoshop, Sketch, & whiteboards to ideate and prototype designs.

Cognitive Science

I'm a huge proponent of consumer psychology and understanding how users think, behave, and interact with products. I believe in analyzing user behavior for an interaction science-backed approach.

leadership principles

Great creativity is a collective endeavor. Leading creatives is not the same as managing them. Effective leadership requires being influential, but not intrusive. Visible leadership and discreet management are key. Understanding creatives leads to a dedicated team. The best creative teams are formed through hard work, deep interest, dedication and investment.

Leading
Designers

Team

Great creativity is a collective endeavor. Leading creatives is not the same as managing them. To properly lead a creative team you have to be influential, but not intrusive. Leadership has to be apparent - management has to be done incognito. Understanding creatives and their work behaviors result in an incredibly loyal and engaged team of people. The best creative teams are never found. They are a product of hard work, deep interest, and investment.

Fostering
Culture

CULTURE

Building a design culture inside a company is not an easy task, it’s an endless exercise in refinement, cultivating relationships, and shaping mindsets. By unleashing the transformative power of design and fostering a world-class human-centered culture of collaboration, programs, and education, we're not only putting the needs of our external and internal customers top of mind, but most importantly redefining what's the true role of a designer nowadays.

Doing Great
Work

Craft

At the end of the day I'm a designer, and I love the craft. As an experienced practitioner, I discovered the best way to scale a design vision is through people. I design directly and indirectly: by shaping amazing teams and inspiring designers. To do great work you truly need to understand the process, have a deep empathy for everyone involved, relentless curiosity, and the determination that takes to make things happen. Most design leaders, including myself, continue to design and want to be close to the craft. Why? Because I absolutely love it.
